Saying good-bye is never easy for me. Sometimes we find ourselves saying good-bye more than we should. It is especially hard when you have to say good-bye to someone you love especially when you have to say it over and over again. You think that maybe it will get easier with time. Every time that moment comes you feel the same or somehow worse. It is as if a little piece of you fragments and falls each time making it just a little bit more unbearable. Sometimes good-bye’s become so consuming that all you can think about when that loved one say’s hello is that soon they will have to say good-bye. Saying good-bye is never easy and I hate saying goodbye to you.

That hyphenated word is one of the most painful things in existence. There is no attachment to good-bye, there is no known. When one says good-bye you are never quite sure that they will say hello again so you just hope. Their is a ring of finality to that word. Often I have made a pledge to my love, that is to never say good-bye but rather see you soon or talk to you later. But I hate saying good bye, that one word is very powerful. It rules the lives of many, and many wish that it never existed. I guess it comes with the shock of discovering that the word good-bye has a underexposed siamatic twin, named “what if” you know?

I don’t look forward to my next good-bye when I see you, but I think for now I’ll just focus on hello. Yes, I will just preoccupy myself with entrances and not exits. Because I realize that saying goodbye to someone makes me appreciate them even more. Saying goodbyes use to always stand alone. Now, I always make a point to pair it up loving words. Even though we say goodbye everyday and saying goodbyes have taken into much in our life’s, it will not over shadow my love for you. I will take a moment in my life to breathe in that serenity when I have to say goodbye. Because as you turn your back and walk in a different direction, our memories will soon embrace me from within until I see you again. <3
